What a swimming dock is made of

Shore support

The shore support is fixed to the bank or at the water’s edge and stays anchored to the ground, giving access to the floating dock via the gangway.

Gangway

The gangway takes you from the shore to the floating dock. The wider the “grey zone” (reeds, mud, vegetation) between the water and dry land, the longer the gangway should be.

Anchoring

A floating dock usually needs to be anchored so that it stays in place and doesn’t drift in the wind. We anchor floating docks with either concrete blocks and chain or screw piles and chain.

Swimming dock

The width of the swimming dock is 2.4 m and a single module can be 3 to 6 m long. By connecting modules we can build a dock of any length. The pontoons are filled with PUR foam.

Accessories

You can add a range of accessories to your swimming dock – for example our ladders, which are easy to lift out of the water. The steps are set at a slight angle, so getting in and out of the water is easier.

You can install many floating platforms yourself, but it’s safer to leave the job to us. That way you know your floating platform is installed exactly as it should be – and it will last considerably longer. Contact us for a quote.

Floating platforms and other timber products also need regular care and an occasional new protective coat to extend their lifespan. Ask us for a maintenance quote.
